Lovely stay here at Caso do Campo de Sao Francisco. We were welcomed by Teresa, who so graciously showed us around the house, explaining the history of the house and her family. We had two lovely rooms, one upstairs with a balcony overlooking the square, and another downstairs also with a view to the square. Rooms are perfectly comfortable and with complimentary toiletries. We had full use of the beautiful sitting room upstairs and the garden too. Breakfast in the morning was fabulous, lovely buffet and a choice of eggs, tea and coffee. Sandrine spoilt us every day with fresh cakes and fruit, as well as a selection of breads and cheese, plus handpicked tomatoes from the garden! Thoroughly recommend and would stay again for sure. Expérience géniale pour notre dernière nuit dans les îles des Açores, nous regrettons de ne pas y être resté lors de notre séjour de 5 nuits à Ponta delgada en début de séjour. Davide nous a bien accueilli, réservé un taxi, la chambre était très confortable, le salon commun est très joli, le petit déjeuner bien garni et parfait! Nous n'hésiterons pas à y retourner lors d'un prochain séjour. Bravo et merci :-) ~ Samuel C
This house is absolutely beautiful - and with an interesting history. It feels like you're staying with family as the house has a sitting area and very cute breakfast area which you can access for tea/coffee at anytime. The bedrooms are traditional, extremely clean with high quality bedding and very comfortable beds. The bathroom was modern with an excellent shower. The location is amazing with several great bars and restaurants within walking distance. Parking is on street but there is plenty available and you only have to pay during the day, so if you're out on a trip you only need to pop a euro or two in the meter to get you over to the next morning ~ Hannah P
Prachtig huis, met vriendelijke warme gastheer! Logeren in dit historisch pand is een belevenis, we genoten van een heerlijk ontbijt ook al was dit om 6u door onze vroege vlucht. Alles stond klaar. Het huis is een mooi ingericht, met oog voor detail, gezellig gemaakt met een collectie antieke meubels en spullen uit de vorige eeuw, net een museum…Prachtig! Ook ideale locatie om door te reizen. Wir haben unseren Kurzurlaub von 5 Tagen auf den Azoren im Casa do Campo verbracht. Um es kurz zu halten: Ambjente, Zimmer, Bad, Betten, Service, Frühstück, Lage, Preis-Leistung, Sauberkeit usw. ... alles super. Nicht so gut: etwas hellhörig und Klimaanlage manchmal mit etwas störenden Geräuschen. ~ Markus D
L'accueil a été extrêmement agréable. Sandrine, notre hôte, a été très prévenante, particulièrement sympathique et d'excellent conseil pour les activités et visites. Les petits déjeuners étaient plus que copieux et somptueusement décorés. La bâtisse en elle même est également pleine de charme et très bien située ~ Cedric P
Beautiful historic accommodation. Lobby was stunning! The entrance is an old chapel, so the ceiling was very high. The room was small but the lounge is available to use and was very spacious. The dining area could be used to make tea and water was always available there. Sandrine and the all the other staff members were very helpful and provided lots of information about things to do and the history of the accommodation. Breakfast was included and there were cakes, bread, ham, cheese and fruit selections. Eggs were made to order. ~ Livvy S
Pour notre deuxième passage (septembre 2018 et juillet 2019) dans cette superbe grande maison historique située sur une belle place de Ponta Delgada, nous avons vraiment apprécié l'accueil chaleureux et la gentillesse de Teresa et Sandra. Les chambres, à la décoration de qualité, sont spacieuses et confortables. Le petit déjeuner, avec les produits locaux, est délicieux et copieux. Etablissement de grande propreté. Proprietors Teresa and Isabel are friendly and helpful. The hotel is historic, unique, clean, and comfortable. Good A/C. Towels for beach and hot springs provided upon request with a smile. Spacious room with view over pretty square. Hearty breakfast, even by American standards, includes cereal, milk, local breads, handmade local jams, coffee, freshly brewed tea, juice, cold cuts, variety of local cheeses, yogurt. Teresa explains the origins of the local foods. Absolutely lovely experience. ~ Glenn P
Quality and hospitality go hand in hand in Casa do Campo de São Francisco, a beautiful house in the historical Ponta Delgada with warm and friendly hostess Teresa who will make you feel just like home. The rooms follow a really high standard with breakfast included in the price, which you can enjoy in the dinning room or in the beautiful garden behind the house. Pro tip: Ask the hostess about the history of the house, actually ask her about anything and she'll be more than welcome to help. ~ Tor-Sven B
Cet hôtel est un des meilleurs de Ponta Delgada, de mon point de vue et d'après les açoriens avec qui j'ai pu discuter. Ancienne chapelle, 4 ou 5 suites seulement, chambres très spacieuses et sobrement décorées. Accueil fabuleux, petit-déjeuner avec produits frais, locaux, variés et de qualité. Situation géographique impeccable pour tout faire à pied à Ponta Delgada. On entend un peu les avions, mais comme partout dans la ville. Cet hôtel luxueux et authentique me rappelle tellement de bons souvenirs. Merci Teresa ! ~ Laurent S
Magnifique demeure bien située et magnifiquement restaurée. Notre chambre était  plutôt  une suite climatisée avec tout le confort. Térésa et Sandrine  sont d une incroyable gentillesse   très disponibles et de bons conseils  que ce soit pour les visites ou pour faciliter notre séjour. Le petit-déjeuner  est copieux fait de produits locaux absolument  délicieux. Sans oublier les liqueurs à la cannelle  ou au thé  offertes le soir en compagnie de Sandrine et de la mascotte  de la maison "Loulou". Belle étape  à Saõ Miguel. ~ Danielle B
El alojamiento es muy bonito en una construcción antigua. La decoración de las habitaciones y del lugar sigue esa estética, pero siendo muy cómodo todo. Personal hiper amable. Desayuno increíble. No se puede pedir más. ~ Andrés
Exemplary accommodations, gracious and welcoming host, gorgeous and huge rooms. Seriously, this is easily your best option for first timing to the Azores: Teresa and her sister run this glorious small inn in a converted 17th century chapel - prepare to be stunned on walking in through the doors. Astonishing collection of island and international artefacts from local traders and merchants, museum quality presentations, and breathtaking architectural cues. The rooms are massive and well appointed with supremely comfortable beds. The bathroom large and sleek, the showers powerful and hot. Breakfast is a lovely range of local meets and cheeses, fruits and cereals and spreads (pineapple jam!),and dynamite coffee. You're also close to absolutely everything- 10 minutes to all restaurants and sites in ponta Delgada, 15 mins to gardens and the huge mall and supermarket at the top of the hill. An added bonus if you've rented from Ilha Verde is their city office is in same building. Dead simple and convenient. Overall, a stellar experience and introduction to the Azores ~ Greg M
Die Unterkunft ist nicht nur gemütlich, in toller Lage und sieht super aus, sie sticht auch bzw. gerade wegen der dort arbeitenden Menschen haushoch heraus. Aufgrund ihrer täglichen Tipps zu Wanderrouten und Wetter hatten wir eine wundervolle Zeit. Ohne ihre Tipps hätten wir ganz sicher die falschen Routen an den falschen Tagen, nicht nur wegen der stattfindenden Rallye auf São Miguel, sondern auch aufgrund der Wetterlage, gewählt. Vielen Dank für alles Sandrine, Teresa und Raquel! Unsere Weiterempfehlung ist gesichert. ~ Kira O
Ich schließe mich gerne den vielen anderen Rezessionen an. Wer ein wirklich außergewöhnliches Hotel mit historischem Charme sucht (dazu gehören auch knarzende Treppen und Holzdielen), der ist hier genau richtig! ~ Sail J
I had a wonderful stay at Casa do Campo de São Francisco! I loved the location, as during every wander around the city, I somehow ended back at Campo de São Francisco. David and his team go above and beyond to accommodate their guests and make sure they are comfortable and happy. Plus, the building oozes with old world charm. I'll take the homey feeling here over any bland chain hotel any day. ~ Lauren M
Well I am use to the big chains, but was pleasantly surprised by this small boutique hotel. The room is wonderful and clean. It offers a large bathroom and living room as well. The management gave us exceptional service even though we arrived at 6:30 am. There is a nice courtyard with a friendly pup where I enjoyed my coffee this morning. Truly a more homey welcoming feeling. ~ Kirk T

Excellent boutique hotel in the heart of Ponta Delgada. This is a historic property. Top notch really. Great location and staff. Breakfast was tasty. And there is a great dog out back -- her name is Maria! Recommended. ~ M J
Really lovely experience. Sandrine was a great host as were all the staff. The breakfast was excellent and the location was perfect for getting into the centre of Ponta Delgada. Was also given some good advice on where to go on the island. ~ Daniel H
Wonderful small hotel! Local owners who truly care about the building and are so knowledgeable about the island. The morning breakfast made the day start so well. If I come back to São Miguel Island I will try and stay here again. ~ Chari B
